| Bio: | Name: Friedrich Christian von Waldenegg aus dem Fluss Character journal name: Baron_Waldenegg Your photo-credit/PB: Jamie Dornan (mmmm ;D) Age: 26 Nationality: Prussian Allegiance and why: If asked this question, Fritz's answer would depend on the setting and the company. To be more specific, he is an opportunist. While the Prussians stood stoically with the French hedgemony in order to protect all monarchies everywhere, the Baron owes nothing to his country. Social Status and/or Occupation: A Baron for appearance's sake but he dabbles in shipping and various sundry odd illegal jobs; petty theft, forgery, blackmail, etc etc (this will explain itself later in the app) Brief physical description of your character: Fritz is relatively tall and well-formed due to his rural-gentry upbringing. He has mercurial eyes, hard and gray as a stone one moment and soft and warm as dove's down the next. His nose is handsome and straight above cynically twisting lips. He has a tendency to be slovenly in private, and can end up looking scruffy when out of the public eye. Brief description of your characters history, including family: the Baronry of Waldenegg has persisted throughout the history of the Prussian Empire. The Waldeneggs, it has been rumored, were once part of the motley tribes of Old Prussians that occupied the eastern rim of the Germanic states. Hardy and Baltic, they survived the teutonic knights with their crude, twisted swords and their christian ways. If the only way to protect their property and their dignity was to convert and conform, then that was what they would do. And so they became Germanic. It was inside the ancient walls of the Waldenegg Castle and across the warm, hilly fields of the rural land surrounding that Friedrich Christian was raised. His parents still retained the stoic mentality of the absolute manorachy as well as an attachement to the land. They shared pride in their family heritage, in the soft, fertile soil around them in which generations of Waldeneggs were buried. They had the strongest intention to raise their children in the same dignified manner until Friedrich Christian was concieved. He tumbled from the womb a beautiful angel; blonde hair like tufts of siderweb silk and plump grasping fingers and wide gray eyes. Little did they know that as he grew his hair would darken to teak, his hands would grow and become even more demanding, and his eyes would harden with a unexplainable darkness. Both parents, well-tempered and kind, could not understand how night could be born from day. At first they attributed it all to boyish airs and curiosities, but it followed him through his adolescence. He was energetic and intelligent, but he employed these qualitites in rough play and cruel tricks. Amazingly charismatic, he could charm himself out of trouble with the snap of a finger and cheeky grin. Fritz's father had been an old man when he was concieved, but the boy's bawdy, exhausting manner drove him through old age and to death much quicker. By the time he was twenty Fritz was the new Baron Waldenegg, and he took full advantage of the liberties that that position entailed. It has been rumored that his mother died only a few months later if only to escape the travesties that would come from her son's place as Baron; and indeed they were monstrous travesties. Within years the entire Waldegg fortune, one that had been slowly accumulated and groomed over hundreds and hundreds of years, was pittled away on girls and luxuries and gambling. Then Fritz, out of funds, even owing, was slapped by the harsh realities and much more sober besides. If only he had grown out of his boyish recklessness before his father's death! Predictably, he and the whole Waldenegg history was the laughingstock of the Prussian upper ring; the child-baron with the self-control of a rabid dog selling his ermine to put food on his table before it too was nabbed by the debtors! In his first act of common sense he fled Prussia with his younger sister and a carriagefull of posessions. He did this to preserve his sister's chances, to hide from the rueful nobility, and, most importantly, to escape the debtors. Where would he not be found? On an island across Europe, of course! And what better island than England; a prosperous monarchy with plenty of opportunities to climb back up the social ladder where he and his sister belonged! but first he would have to climb down a bit to get the tools to do it... One or two plots which you would like to play out in the community: Any sort of illegal dealings. Fritz also is on the lookout for a pretty, rich, naive wife to fool into marrying him ;D. Are there any other characters you would like to see in the game? For instance, family, friends of your character?: I would love to create his sister as well! | |||||||||
